Politics More Important Than Fair Elections

Patrick Rogers is an Albuquerque lawyer who urged former U.S. Attorney David Iglesias to pursue cases of voter fraud, even "where little evidence existed." Rogers worked for the American Center for Voting Rights Legislative Fund, which "sought to scrutinize voter registration records, win passage of tougher ID laws and challenge the legitimacy of voters considered likely to vote Democratic." Iglesias was sacked in the recent spate of attorney firings, and now Rogers is a candidate to replace him.

Conclusion?

That politics is more important than fair elections to the Department of Justice and the Bush Administration.
